RIM Canadian Contributions

 

The attached research file contains 26 pages of Canadian contributions to the development of the records management profession. Its contents have been solely derived from ARMA International source materials. Contributions have been sorted into the following categories:

 

  • Article where an article was published in an ARMA International publication

    •  

  • Award where an award was received by either an ARMA Canadian member, or an ARMA Canada Region chapter

    •  

  • Charter where the chartering of an ARMA Canada Region chapter was published in an ARMA International publication

    •  

  • Conference where a Canadian ARMA member gave a presentation at an ARMA International Conference, or where a conference was hosted by an ARMA Canada Chapter

    •  

  • Education where records management courses are offered by Canadian educational institutions

    •  

  • Leadership where a Canadian ARMA member has been a leader at the ARMA International level

    •  

  • Publication where Canadian records management publications have been advertised in an ARMA International publication.

  • Training where Canadian records management training courses were advertised or recognized in an ARMA International publication.

 

File contents have been culled from reading through ARMA International journals dating from July 1977 through to October 2005. The research within this date range supports the effort of a Canada Region team who is writing the history of records management in Canada. By the way – there’s a wee gap in the collection. The following journals have not been consulted: January 1977, April 1977, October 1978, January 1979. If anyone has a copy of these journals, please Sue Rock!
